Tampa, Florida - JobsNewsTampa.com will host a Job fair on Tuesday May 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at George M. Steinbrenner Field. There will be over 40 companies participating.

Job seekers can speak one-on-one with company recruiters who have immediate hiring needs.

FrankCrum Staffing will also be in attendance offering FREE resume review.

A gardening bonanza of butterfly plants, herbs and native plants await you June 9 where you can buy the plants you need and get expert advice on where to put them.

The event costs $5 for adults. Children get in Free. There is free parking and a free children's activity area.

Stamp Out Hunger - leave food at your mailbox on Saturday

Tampa, Florida -- The U.S. Postal Service and its letter carriers ask Tampa residents to join them and the rest of the nation in combating one of the U.S' growing problems, hunger, by leaving food at your mailboxes on Saturday, May 12.

According to USPS, this one-day food drive is the nation’s largest single-day food drive across America — including Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.

Catch a glimpse of the University Square Vision Plan

Tampa, Florida-- The Planning Commission invites you to take part in the development of the Vision Plan for University Square.

On Thursday, May 17 from 6 - 8 p.m., the commission will meet to discuss the plan in detail.

The meeting agenda includes:

An introduction to planning basics
Presentation by Tampa Police Department
Presentation by Tampa Fire Rescue
SPOT Analysis performed by attendees

Tampa, Florida-- Here's a quick update from the Florida Department of Transportation on the construction taking place on the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway....

Selmon Expressway Deck Panel Replacement and Widening:

Night lane closures on westbound Selmon Expressway:

One lane will be closed on the westbound Selmon Expressway (SR 618) from 22nd Street to Morgan Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. This sarted Sunday, April 29, and will last through Thursday May 3.
