Man beaten, thrown through window at Tampa hotel | Crime
Tampa, Fla. -- Detectives are searching for three suspects who beat a man at a Days Inn in Tampa during a robbery attempt Thursday morning.
According to the sheriff's office, on March 1, around 11 a.m. the victim was with a woman known as "Mimi" at the hotel on 701 East Fletcher Ave., when two people knocked on the room's door. "Mimi" answered and the two suspects, a man and a woman, entered the room demanding money from the room's safe.
When the 46-year-old victim refused, they began beating him and threw him through the room window. He was then dragged back into the room where he was beaten some more. Police say he sustained cuts on his head and body and was treated at a hospital and released.
The suspects were captured on video surveillance leaving the hotel.
The following is the descriptions of the suspects:
Suspect 1: Black male, 175 - 190 lbs, 5'10" - 6', black hair (dreads), facial hair. He was last seen wearing baggy pants, black shirt with stripes on the side and dark shoes.
Suspect 2: Black female, 120 - 130 lbs., 5'5" - 5'7", black and pink braided hair below the shoulders. Wearing a black t-shirt with large star on the front, blue jeans and black sandals. (Photo not yet available)
Suspect 3: Black female, 130 - 140 lbs., 5'5" - 5'7", reddish short hair. Wearing a dark tank top, light shorts and tennis shoe.
