Girl sexually assaulted while trying to sell juice boxes

Thonotosassa, Florida -- An unspeakable crime in Thonotosassa. A 46-year-old man accused of luring a 12 year-old girl into his home and sexually assaulting her.

The father, say investigators, was just feet away doing some work, unable to hear his daughter's screams for help.

Investigators describe the case as a tragedy for the family involved, and a lesson for all parents.

The attack, they say, took place inside a blue mobile home on Courageous Court.

Man defrauds elderly woman of over $170,000

Tampa, Florida -- A man who took advantage of an elderly Tampa woman he knew had moderate dementia and bought himself expensive items with her money is behind bars.

Tampa Police say in July 2011, Bryant Gattos became 84-year-old Agnes Raymond's financial advisor and was also in a business relationship with her. In December that same year, Gattos became the woman's power of attorney and, during that time, received documentation she suffered from dementia.

Mother arrested after infant drowns in bathtub

Tampa, Florida -- The mother of a 7-month-old infant who drowned in a bathtub is in jail after police say her negligence led to her baby's death.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Sierra McMillan put her 7-month-old in the bathtub with the water running. She then left the infant, with the water still running, to answer the door to a solicitor.

While inside, the solicitor told police he heard the water running and the child crying. After a few minutes, the crying had stopped.

Double murder remains unsolved, one year later

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police is asking for the public's help to generate leads in an unsolved double murder case. Friday, they held a press conference where family members of the victims spoke out and also pleaded for help.

"Just knowing that I won't have her to be there for me and I won't have her for my son," said Tiana Vause, who is nearly eight months pregnant, in between tears. Her mother, Vickie Sterling, was murdered exactly one year ago.

"Bank Bag Bandit" sentenced to 27 years in prison

Tampa, Florida -- A Palm Harbor man, also known as the "Bank Bag Bandit" who committed five armed bank robberies in three counties, was sentenced Monday to 27 years in federal prison in connection with the crimes.

As part of sentence, the United States Attorney's Office says David Dwindell was ordered to forfeit over $13,700, which is traceable to proceeds of the offense and to pay over $38,000 in restitution which is the amount stolen from the banks.
